In terms of the Labour Relations Act, employees have the right to embark on industrial action under certain circumstances.
This can be incredibly disruptive to your business, and in certain circumstances, industrial action can be occasioned by violent action taken by the striking employees.
We assist in all facets of the process, from the meetings held with staff and/or trade unions before to referring a dispute to the CCMA, through the conciliation process, as the as preparation of picketing rules regulating the manner in which industrial action will take place.
Our team has many years experience in managing the process of industrial action pursuant to employees’ demands, and will readily assist you in every aspect of this process.
We give assistance and advice with any form of strike action, regardless of whether it is protected or unprotected strike action.
This will include assistance with drafting and issuing of notices/ultimatums, picketing rules, as well as representation up to and including CCMA proceedings, which are dealt with by the relevant Employers Organisation to which you will also become a member.
